How long will my hot tub last?
When you purchase MyHotTub through our website we guarantee the craftsmanship of our hot tubs and parts with a comprehensive warranty.
Where should I place my hot tub?
Most MyHotTub spas are installed outdoors. With our exclusive molded base, installation is simple and the hot tub can be placed almost anywhere on solid, level ground. If you install a MyHotTub spa indoors, you need to consider if the hot tub will fit through the door and if the structural strength of the floor is adequate to hold the hot tub filled with water. A typical 3-person hot tub weighs about 2,500 pounds filled.
What special plumbing is needed for my hot tub?
None. Once your MyHotTub is in place, simply fill it with water from a garden hose.
How do I keep the water clean?
We recommend that you follow the Maintaining Spa Water Quality section in your MyHotTub.com owner’s manual. Maintaining your hot tub water and keeping it clean not only helps the hot tub’s equipment run properly, but also improves the overall hot tub experience.
How often should I clean the hot tub?
With regular use and well-maintained water, we recommend you clean your hot tub every 3-6 months. Essentially, this involves draining the water from the hot tub, brushing the sides and refilling with fresh water from a hose. Consult your MyHotTub.com owner’s manual for specific instructions.
How is the temperature controlled?
Temperature, jets and lights can all be controlled with the simple touch of a button. Our topside control panel combine advanced micro-processor technology with solid-state electronic switches, creating the world’s finest, most reliable, state-of-the-art, user-friendly control system. Navigation is a breeze.
Are the water jets adjustable?
Most jets in your hot tub are adjustable. Rotating the face of an adjustment jet to the left (counter-clockwise) will increase the amount of water flow through the jet. Rotating the face of an adjustable jet to the right (clockwise) will decrease the amount of water flow through the jet.
How much horsepower does my hot tub pump need?
Horsepower will vary by hot tub model. All MyHotTubs are designed to be efficient with optimal water flow providing a vigorous massage experience. We work closely with manufacturers to reduce electrical consumption by increasing the size and angle of the pump impellers. We also optimize internal plumbing, jet placement and jet configuration for results you can feel.
Can hot tubs help my stress, pain, or other physical conditions?
You should consult a medical professional for specific advice. It is well known that hydrotherapy – the combination of heat, massage, and buoyancy- can help relieve stress, pain and other symptoms. Heat dilates blood vessels, increasing blood flow to carry oxygen and nutrients to sore and damaged tissues. MyHotTub jets give you a full-body massage, relaxing tension from muscles, while the natural buoyancy of the water relieves pressure on strained joints and muscles. Immersion in a warm, soothing hot tub before bed helps to transition to a good night’s sleep, and the release of endorphins that occur during a warm water massage can also relieve stress and improve your mood.
How long does my hot tub need to heat-up before it’s ready to use?
Controls for your MyHotTub.com allow you to choose whether to keep your hot tub warm and ready to use at all times or set it to heat when you are most likely to use it. Whatever you desire, your MyHotTub can be customized and ready for use whenever needed.
What type of electrical service do I need for my hot tub?
Most MyHotTubs are designed for 240 volt electrical service requiring a 50 or 60 amp breaker. Certain models will work with 120 volt electrical service that enables you to essentially “plug and play.” These models can also be converted to a 240 volt electrical service if needed. When connecting via your regular outlet, don’t share the circuit with another appliance, and be sure it has an appropriate amperage rating.
Is a hot tub lounger right for me?
If you wish to lay down in your spa and relax, a lounger may be better suited to you. If you want to fit more people in your spa, a non-lounger may be best.
Do any of your hot tubs feature a double lounger?
Yes! Our Victoria spa features a double lounger.
